So... obviously my name isn't Arianna Sunrise in real life. It is a penname I picked up when I was thirteen that just stuck, and most of my friends know about it, so it's not like I'm trying to hide behind it. Anyway, I've been thinking long and hard about starting a journal of some sort, even though I've never been very good at it, especially since I got back from Egypt, where I managed to keep a travelogue, even if I did get four days behind on it while we were cruising the Nile. It then occurred to me that I might have a better shot of keeping a journal if it was very focused, like the one I kept in Egypt, and so I've decided to dedicate this one to my first year of college at Sonoma State University. Notice that I say "first" and not "freshman"; this is because I happen to be entering as a sophomore (and yes, I do get a kick out of that, having been little more than mediocre in my AP classes). If nothing else, I would like to have some sort of tangible memoire of what is apparently a huge transition period for a large number of students. So without further ado, I invite you to sit down, relax, and enjoy the hilarity of everyday life.
